Solitary Shade

Andrei Davidoff is a ceramic artist and sculptor based in Melbourne, Australia. His functional ceramic pieces are predominantly wheel-thrown and are made from local clay in his Melbourne studio. As part of a tradition of engaging with contemporary artists and craftspeople, Sydney Living Museums hosted ceramicist Andrei Davidoff as artist-in-residence during 2014–15.

An accompanying catalogue for the exhibition Solitary Shade included photographs of the works produced during Andrei's residency, and three short essays—included as short page inserts—creating a tactile and carefully crafted publication which matched the craftsmanship of the exhibition.
